We were employed to undertake the demolition and recycling over two phases.
Phase 1 –
- Required the design and installation of temporary works
- Robotic demolition
- Diamond Sawing and drilling
The above was carried out to facilitate the enabling works for the project.
Phase 2 –
This required the demolition of multiple structures ranging from two to six storeys. Careful separation from the live buildings had to be carried out following the installation of temporary propping and diamond sawing.
As the buildings were demolished, the arising hardcore was crushed on site (20,000m³) and used to construct the piling mat.
Plant on site included but was not limited to: –
6 x demolition rigs ranging from 14 to 65 tonnes + associated attachments
1 x concrete crusher
2 x dust boss
